Connecting Pay-Easy or Convenience Stores as a Payment Method (Through GMO)

Important:

  • As of January 7 2025, GMO-Epsilon is no longer available to connect as a payment provider in Wix. Merchants who have already connected to GMO-Epsilon can still process payments. However, if you disconnect your GMO-Epsilon account from Wix, you will not be able to reconnect it.

  • As of April 1 2025, GMO-Epsilon will no longer be available for all Wix users, including existing accounts.

Accept payments from customers in Japan using Pay-Easy and/or Convenience Stores. Your customers can pay for your products through their bank account with Pay-Easy, or through select convenience stores near them with Convenience Stores.

As these payments are processed by GMO-Epsilon, you will need to set up or connect an existing GMO-Epsilon account to your site.

Connecting Pay-Easy (through GMO-Epsilon)

  1. Go to Accept Payments on your site's dashboard.
    Tip: Check your business location at the top right. If incorrect, click the drop-down menu to change it.

  2. Click See More Payment Options.

  3. Click See Options next to Pay-Easy.

Pay easy options,

  1. Click Connect next to GMO-Epsilon.

  2. Depending on whether you are creating a new GMO-Epsilon account or have an existing account, follow the instructions:

Existing GMO-Epsilon account

  1. Enter your Contract Code.
    Tip: The Contract Code is the same one you use to log in to your GMO-Epsilon account.

  2. Click Connect.

New GMO-Epsilon account

  1. Click Create GMO-Epsilon account.

  2. Follow the instructions on the GMO-Epsilon website to complete your account setup.

  3. Once your new account is approved and valid, look for an email from GMO-Epsilon and copy your Contract Code.

  4. Return to the Accept Payments tab (steps 1-5) and complete the steps under Existing GMO-Epsilon account to connect.

Connecting Convenience Stores (through GMO-Epsilon)

  1. Go to Accept Payments on your site's dashboard.
    Tip: Check your business location at the top right. If incorrect, click the drop-down menu to change it.

  2. Click See More Payment Options.

  3. Click Connect next to Convenience Store Payment (Provided by GMO-Epsilon)

  1. Enter your Contract Code.
    Tip: The contract code is the same one you use to log in to your GMO-Epsilon account.

  2. Click Connect.

  1. Choose an option:Click Create new Sole Proprietorship account.
    Click Create new Corporate Business account.

  2. Follow the instructions on the GMO-Epsilon website to complete your account setup.

  3. Once your new account is approved and valid, look for an email from GMO-Epsilon and copy your Contract Code.

  4. Return to the Accept Payments tab (steps 1-4) and complete the steps under Existing GMO-Epsilon account to connect.

How can I tell if a payment method is active?

In order to accept online payments, you must connect a payment provider.

Once connected, your checkout will be active for your chosen payment method(s).

You need to have your account successfully verified to receive payouts.

Is my currency supported?

Be aware that payments will fail If you are using an unsupported currency.

The currency used in your payment provider account must match the currency that you set in your Wix account. If you need to change the currency set in your provider account, please contact your payment provider.

If your current payment provider does not support your desired currency, Wix hosts a wide range of alternative payment providers. Learn how to change your payment provider.

What is a minimum payment amount?

Some payment providers have a minimum payment threshold (e.g. $1.01). Payments below this amount will not be processed.

Make sure that all of your products or services are priced over the minimum threshold. This includes discounted items or Pricing Plans.

Please contact your payment provider to get the most up-to-date information about their minimum payment threshold.

Can I offer recurring payments?

To offer recurring payments, you must connect a payment provider that supports recurring payments.

How do I get my payouts?

Payouts are managed by your payment provider. If your provider is a third-party provider, contact them directly.
If your provider is Wix Payments, learn about receiving payouts from Wix Payments.

My customers' payments are being declined. What can I do?

If your customers are experiencing payment failures, you may be able to fix the issue by troubleshooting issues for accepting payments.

Why can’t I connect my desired payment provider?

If you’re having trouble connecting your payment provider, you may be able to fix the issue by troubleshooting common connection issues.

Do I need a Premium plan to accept payments?

Yes. Your Wix site needs to have a Business & eCommerce Premium plan in order to accept payments.
