Troubleshooting: Not Seeing My Google AdSense Ads

Unable to view AdSense ads on your site? Check to see if any of the following is causing the problem:

Ad was activated less than 48 hours ago

After you enter a new ad code, or edit an existing ad, it can take up to 48 hours for the new ad to appear.

Solution: Wait until at least 48 hours have passed to see if the problem resolves itself.

Ad is blocked by security software or a browser extension

Google AdSense ads can be blocked by browser settings or by ad blocking browser extensions / add-ons  such as AdBlock.

How to check:

  • Check whether popups are blocked by your browser:Chrome
    Firefox
    Internet Explorer
    Microsoft Edge
    Safari

  • In your browser settings, check to see if any browser extensions / add-ons that block popups are enabled.

  • Another way to test if ads are blocked on your computer, is to open your browser window in incognito mode. If you are able to see ads, disable your browser extensions and Internet monitoring software applications one at a time. This may help you determine which ones are blocking your ads.

Solution: Note that ads blocked on your computer can display on other computers. You do not need to take any further action.

Site no longer has the same domain

If for any reason, the domain listed in Google AdSense does not match your current site domain, ads no longer appear on your site.

How to check: Compare your site's domain name (e.g. mystunningwebsite.com) to the domain name listed in the Sites tab of your Google AdSense dashboard. To access the Sites tab, log in to Google AdSense, click the Sites tab on the left.

Site verification status in Google AdSense is "unverified"

If changes were made to a verified site, ads may no longer display.

How to check: Check your verification status following these instructions.

Solution: If site is unverified, take steps to re-verify your site.

Site has a policy violation

If your site does not comply with one of Google AdSense policies, ads won't display.

How to check: In the AdSense dashboard, click the Account tab, select Policy Center, and check for policy violations.

Solution: Take appropriate action to fix the specific problem.

Important:

The Google AdSense app works by displaying the information that it receives from Google. If you have followed all the steps above and still don't see ads on your site, we recommend contacting Google to find out the specific reason that ads are not displaying on your site. Learn how
