If you sell tickets for your events, make sure to set the relevant currency for your site. The currency you choose will be used for Wix Events and any other paid transactions connected to your site.

Changing your currency

Setting the correct currency for your event's ticket sales is essential to ensure a smooth purchasing experience. This choice enables guests to easily view prices and complete transactions in their preferred currency, enhancing convenience and satisfaction.

To change your currency:

  1. Go to Language & Region in your site's dashboard.

  2. Click the Currency drop-down and select the relevant currency.

  3. (Optional) Make sure all the other regional settings are correct.

  4. Click Save.

Can I change the currency for a ticketed event after guests purchase tickets?

No. It is not possible to change the ticket's currency once a guest purchases a ticket for your event.

Does the currency on my site need to match the currency in my payment provider account to accept payments?

Yes. To accept payments through your site, your site's currency must match the currency in your payment provider account.

I don't see the currency I need. Can I request additional currencies if mine isn't listed?

Yes. If the currency you want to use does not appear in the drop-down menu, you can request additional currencies.
