Wix Inbox: Connecting Your Gmail Account

Connect your Gmail account to Wix Inbox so that any emails you send through your Wix account (e.g. contact form responses, communication about store orders, etc.) will come from your own email address.

You'll also be able to see the emails you sent through Wix Inbox, directly in your Gmail account.

Important:

When you connect your Gmail account to Wix Inbox, the connection only goes one way. You can see all Wix Inbox notifications in your personal Gmail account. However, any personal emails sent to or from your Gmail do not show up in Wix Inbox.

Connecting your Gmail account to Wix Inbox

1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.

2. Click the Settings drop-down at the top right.

3. Click Email.

4. Click Use Gmail Address under Send emails from your Gmail address.

5. Click Continue with Google.

6. Select the Google account you'd like to connect and click Continue.

7. Select the checkboxes next to the options for what Wix can access and click Continue.

Purchase a Google Workspace business email to send emails from a custom domain (e.g. info@mydomain.com).

If I connect my Gmail account, will my personal emails show up in my Wix Inbox?

No. When you connect your Gmail account to Wix Inbox, the connection only goes one way. You can see all Wix Inbox notifications in your personal Gmail account. However, any personal emails sent to or from your Gmail do not show up in Wix Inbox.

Why do I see a "Your Gmail account is not connected" banner at the top of my Wix Inbox?

If you see a Your Gmail account is not connected banner at the top of your inbox, your Gmail account and your Wix Inbox are no longer linked. In this case, you need to reconnect them.

Check that Wix is listed as a third-party app with account access within your Google account settings.

Why do I see automated Gmail emails in my Wix Inbox?

If you see automated Gmail emails in your Wix Inbox (such as "out of office" emails from the Gmail address you've connected), check your Gmail automatic email settings.

How do I disconnect my Gmail account?

1. Go to Inbox in your site's dashboard.

2. Click Settings at the top right.

3. Click Email.

4. Scroll down to the Outgoing email settings section.

5. Click remove Gmail under Sender address.

Can I connect other email providers (e.g. Yahoo!, AOL)?

Currently, it is not possible to connect an email provider other than Gmail to your Wix Inbox. Vote for the ability to connect other providers in this feature request.
