Wix Pricing Plans POS: Selling Plans at a Mobile Point of Sale

Use your phone as a point of sale (POS) so your clients can pay for their pricing plans no matter where you are. Using the Wix App, you can add clients to plans and accept payments quickly.

Note:

You can only sell plans that have a one-time payment at a point of sale, not plans with recurring payments.

Step 1 | Set up your account and payment settings

To use your mobile device as a Wix Mobile POS, you need to download the Wix app, set up your Wix Payments account, and order a card reader.

Step 2 | Sell Pricing Plans using the Wix app

Now you can start using your phone as a point of sale, wherever you are. This is great for adding new members to your plans at roadshows, exhibitions and other events.

To sell your Pricing Plans using the Wix App:

  1. Go to your site in the Wix app.

  2. Tap Manage  at the bottom.

  3. Tap Pricing Plans under Catalog.

  4. Tap the More Actions icon  at the top.

  5. Tap Sell a pricing plan.

  6. Add a client to the sale using one of the following options:Select an existing contact.

    Tap + Add new contact to create a new one.Enter the relevant contact information.
    (Optional) Select the checkbox at the bottom to invite the person to join your site.
    Tap Save.

  7. Select the relevant plan.
    Note: You can only sell plans with a one-time payment at a point of sale.

  8. Tap Next.

  9. Tap Collect Payment.

  10. Choose what you want to do:

Accept payment through Wix Mobile POS & Wix Payments

Note: Accepting payment using this method is currently available only in the US and Canada.

  1. Tap Scan credit card.

  2. Select a payment option:Card reader: Let customer swipe, insert, or tap the customer's credit card.

  3. Tap Got it to confirm.

Manually enter credit card details

The option of manually entering card details is not yet open for all eligible merchants. Manual card payment is only available for merchants using a payment provider that allows manual card entry payments.

Important: Entering credit card details manually is the least secure way of accepting card payments. We recommend accepting manual payment only from buyers you trust. Note that in case of fraud, it is the merchant who is liable. Learn more

  1. Tap Manual Card Entry.

  2. Enter all the credit card details and tap Charge.

Note: Wix Payments processing fees for manual card entry are the same as for other card payments.

Who is this service available to?

Wix Mobile POS is currently available to select Pricing Plans, Wix Bookings, Wix Stores, and Wix Events users in the U.S.

What payment method do I need to connect?

To add clients to plans and process payments at a point of sale on your phone, you need to create a Wix Payments account and get it verified.

Are there limitations to what I can do on the mobile POS?

Currently, it is not possible to do the following:

  • Offer refunds

  • Collect tax

  • Edit the payment total
